Gentle curves and a super smooth finish characterise this half moon dining set made of solid, grade a teak. The table top can be unscrewed from the legs for easy storage when not needed. The focus of the design for the armchairs is ergonomic with rounded backs and smoothed armrests that run right the way around the back of the chair. Both the table legs and the chair legs have caps on the bottom for added protection and a longer life for the furniture itself. And all the joints throughout the set are reinforced by hand with teak dowels smoothed into the joints themselves for an indestructible finish. Half moon cushions are available as an added extra. By its very nature teak is high in natural oils giving it a good natural resistance to temperature fluctuations, a low rate of moisture uptake and protection against insect attack. Whereas other woods will crack and split when face with more extreme seasonal conditions, teak won’t. Teak is also very dense naturally making a superior finish much easier to achieve for the craftsperson concerned.
