The cushions are specifically made for outdoor use with a resin fibre sandwich and low moisture uptake. They can also be tied to the frames themselves. Tough caps are fitted to all feet for the ultimate protection with regular use. The chairs are stackable making them easy to store. All frames will remain rust free with exposure to the elements and the bistro set is very lightweight making it a cinch to move. The set is manufactured by sacred earth who use very exacting standards in their production processes. Beehive kilns are used to fire the terracotta tiles for 30 40 days. Wooden moulds are then used to shape the tiles with ‘wire and cut’ methods to a uniform shape. The finished tiles are laid out by hand on a pre drawn template after being cut to size. Wire mesh and encaustic cement is then used to fix the pattern being made. To complete the design a high quality penetrating glaze, matt finish, or weather glaze, glossy finish, is evenly applied.
